My Story

I drew a dog. One dog. That's how it started.
I am the definition of an accidental artist. Granted, my whole life from age 2 through college I had drawn and painted quite a bit, I lost sight of anything artistic after college and took a 28 year hiatus. When Covid hit January 2020 and I found myself confined to the house more than usual, I picked up a set of graphite pencils and an artist's pad of paper the neighbor had given me. I did a quick sketch of my dog, Remi. I posted it on Facebook and titled the post "bored". A friend of mine liked the sketch and asked if I would draw her dog. Reluctantly I did. She liked it and shared, and I started drawing friends and family's dogs, learning from Instagram videos about what kinds of pencils and paper to use and what techniques might help. On a whim, I drew a dog that was posted on Tallulah Willis' Instagram page just for practice. I posted it and tagged her. She liked it, contacted me and I drew several dogs for her. This opened up my audience to a whole new world. After drawing many free portraits I decided to seek out any rescues to partner with to somehow use my art to raise awareness. I teamed up with Kate's Rescue in California, agreeing to draw any new adoptees free portraits. Due to a large amount of requests for portraits, so I decided to charge for commissions with the caveat that any and all monies go strictly to the rescue. Over the course of this journey, I have completed over 700 portraits, sent portraits to London, India, and Australia. I have had the privilege to draw several portraits for Tallulah Willis, Scout Willis, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Emma Roberts, Lisa Vanderpump, Bebe Buell, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, and even snuck a couple in of Zelda (Seth) Rogen. I am now able to consistently donate to rescues that I choose to support.

All portraits are colored pencil on Strathmore Artagain paper and are sprayed with a protective fixative upon completion. All portraits shipped (US Domestic) via UPS Ground, insured for $20.00. Other options will be actual cost.

LOCKETS: can be sourced on your own or I can find you one! Cost of locket must be paid for to reserve locket. One locket portrait is $100 include Shipping Domestic US, insured, UPS ground. Other options actual cost.
